Ahoy Greg!

I am hoping to do a bridge to bridge here in Hobart and will need all that fuel, Hobart to new Norfolk and back!
The gauges were done by Peter Meyer in the Vic suppliers list, not cheap but a good job!
Bit quiet re get together at Shep?
I assume you know about the tall ships coming to Australia? The Tas crew are putting on a big show and hope to get a few powerboats for a cruise when they come here
Cheers mate

That's a fair trip. About 80 k?

I have heard of the tall ships, but not hearing much about what they want to do. About 10 ships I believe.

Yep, deafening response to the Shepp proposal. With no other dates thrown up, it looks like Al Price and I will be there (and lonely).

Chivs... Stop poking the pigeon , he has not sold anything, let alone a boat, for a long time. But alas the time is drawing near to the day of reckoning, better bring around the cash before I change my mind.... Again !!

Greg , I will be in Bendigo 31/07 to 2/08 maybe Chivs will provide a down payment for impact. I know someone with a Holden turbo charged 186 sitting in his shed. I reckon Impact could give those V8 panzy skiff boys a licking at Goolwa !

Stuart

Definitely a kick arse boat with a turbo 186 in it. What a ride! You are going to have to move a boat on to make way for another, so make Chiv's day and flog him something. I have one too many as well and need to move one on.

We will definitely catch up when you are in Bendigo. Maybe you can show me how to put the plastic covering on my glass (plastic) house.

Ahoy all!

For those that are bored and looking for something interesting to look at, there is a page on face book being developed, Tassies Powerboat Racing History.

It was posted on the Ozboatracers site under general talk and you can access it there or at
www.facebook.com/TassiePowerboatRacingHistory

If you scroll through it there is some great shots of Hydros and the like and a couple of photos of another small skiff the fat pigeon has Lightning III in full flight.

They are also planning a nostalgia day 26 October a static display and then on the Sunday 27 October at the power boat racing circuit at Granton spirited demos similar to Goolwa I hope!

Cheers.

Okay boyz settle down, here is some more progres on a V8!

My main man Brent admiring his handy work, a stainless steel overflow tank for heat exchanger with a special cap.

A 1964 (about the year Torea built?) Australian penny! How cool is that! 8-)

Another shot of the cool idea!

All we need is the fly wheel but a delay in extra engineering required to drive the oil pump!

Last on a bit blurry, was the end of the day etc!!!! But you get the idea.

Now for your entertainment, some nostalgia Thurley style!

Unfortunately photos of photos, but again you get the idea. Also a clinker issue?

Brents dad Graham race boats back in the day and his boat was a clinker called "Invader".
Boat details I am hoping will be supplied by Brent, Brent has a fiberglass clinker completely rebuilt by himself and named in honour of his fathers boat, Invader.

Last one for now, Invader afloat and ready to race again, even though Graham is checking for leaks?

Cheers boyz
