New prop for Jupiter arrived from Dewald in the States. Had a note inside "have also enclosed a spare "used" prop for you".... How did they know I have a penchant for losing props?

Now have three props to test, dropping transom height 3/4 inch , should be running for Goolwa, hopefully testing this weekend.

My tip for testing, dont make two changes at once, its harder to pick which change makes the differance.

Leave motor height as is, like you said earlier, it worked fine before.
Try the props for which one feels the best, if they hook up, all good, pick the best one.
If they fail to hook up, drop the motor a little and repeat test.
I no prop expert Stuart, but it just makes sense in evaluating cause and effect.

Thanks for your advice.

I can always raise the transom height , but can't lower engine without cutting down transom , I am pretty sure I am too high so going to cut . I sent some photos to Craig Dewald (Dewald props) and he has suggested dropping down 3/4 inch to 1 inch so will go with 3/4 to start. While it did run at Narranderra (for a short time), I think there is more speed in it and it should jump on the plane quicker.

Chivs and I are testing Sat , nothing like leaving things to the last minute, guessing I am not alone though!
