hi spook,
float level in carby stuck and petrol pissed out of the carby even when not running with ignision on.
looking at a few other boats manual pump is safer and does the the job.
putting RUDE back in the water on monday for another test run.

You are right Darren, it wasn't a very bright day but the glare off the legs was blinding?! Also, you should've seen the smile on his face as he played with his new toys forward/reverse and tried to parallel park alongside the jetty.

Griffin is almost ready for Goolwa. Engine is now together and running, Chrysler 318 poly, ran in the new cam Thursday night, went really well, hull and decks finished, upholstery done, trailer done, have to fit engine back in and fit off the steering shaft etc. Rego booked for next Wednesday just in time for one test run next week. I would like to organize a windscreen but not sure if it can be done in time.

Peter.

Nice stuff.
I still dont have an engine for atomic.
The block is machined. I have a brand new crank and h beam rods.
Brand new alloy heads. Darren has sent me some pistons which hopefully turn up tommorrow.
Then off to get it all balanced. Maybe ill have the engine together on the weekend.
Its really cutting it fine now.
It wasnt my plan just out of all the parts i have and two potential engines nothing i had would build me one engine.
A note for potential budget engine builders. Dont ever believe what people tell you at swap meets is in their engines before you hand over the cash.

Some photos of this mornings run up the river.
Newly boat licenced Leanne got to take her boat "Leanne" her first drive.
Scott has got most of the bugs out of Rude and is looking to do some tweaking on the Saturday of the Aquafest.
Colin had a few issues with Glued & Screwed but it was the first time back in the water for about 3 years and has a new motor. I'm sure it'll be sorted for Goolwa.
