A Tasmanian experience
Re: A Tasmanian experience
Sorry to "Bug" you guys, but there seems to be some pics missing
Re: A Tasmanian experience
Great photos boys, looks like a good day out for a few of the Admiral's fleet! The blowfly should never let those goggles leave his side (or his face) whenever he is attending one of our outings - I want a pair!!!! Bloody classic look!! Chivs his hair looks fine to me, well, at least he has some even if the top paddock is somewhat clear of foliage
One thing I wanted to ask (being semi-serious for once), Is the hull on Old Flame plastic or wood?

Re: A Tasmanian experience
A !
In order of priority old flame is all wood! Hardly leaks too!
The Goggles according to the blow fly were a dollar on eBay so perhaps we all should get em and it will help keep the wigs on!
For Mrs price action shots of the bug to come just got to sort them etc!
Keep tuned fans and to be continued, cheers

Re: A Tasmanian experience
Settle down Hookster , Old Flame is timber , construction a little unusual though.
Jeff , when Jupiter is at rest the prop is a good foot under water, particularly when the Fatpigeon is the pilot, when on the plane it is semi surfacing. I have just bitten the bullett and ordered a 3 blade racing prop from Dewald props in the states, hope it arrives in time for Goolwa and It works ?
In the mean time I will panel beat the prop I have .

Re: A Tasmanian experience
Righto my turn ... right out of the Dig book of how to get em going! The last two my favourites ..... of course!!!
Thanks Stuart the fat pigeon for being so generous with your boats (we worked for it though!) and of course Brent the blowfly in particular for your technical and mechanical expertise and the hair product advice in extreme windy and wet conditions!
Looking forward to catching up with everyone making the journey to Goolwa, to be continued!

Re: A Tasmanian experience
Great pics guys
Mmmm, sort of like to have been there to experience wetting the babies head.
Have not driven a hydro yet!, yep a virgin!
Dave P has given me an opportunity, but the planets haven't aligned
Looks like Goolwa maybe the time. Bring it on!

Chivs - Tom Boy & Torea so far.
Looked into the crystal ball this morning on your behalf and saw a skiff plus a hydro in your bigger shed!
