Time is fast slipping away and I need to know now who’s coming on the Maribyrnong/Yarra cruise of March 3rd.
I did another recce the other day and had a look at Edgewater. Edgewater is a high rise housing development built around a man made lake that is fed from the Maribyrnong River.
There is an excellent public pontoon to moor against, with room for about 7 boats. It is also well sheltered, being off the river. There is a restaurant there called Cravin’ Crepes. They do an all day breakfast, toasted sandwiches and more, but are known for their sweet and savoury crepes. The savoury crepes are something like pizza. They suggest we book. I just reckon this will be a better alternative to the Boat House for tying up boats, so unless I am howled down, I’m making an executive decision. There is considerably more development that what is shown in the (dated) picture.
BUT, I need to know who is coming and who wants to eat there so I can make some reservations.
If you do not want to come on the cruise, but would like to have lunch with us, you are most welcome, but again, I need to know.
Below is a map of the area. Note that the fingered jetty is not open to the public (us). If we get there a little early for lunch, it would only mean cruising up the river further and turning around and coming back.
Cravin’ Crepes have a website at: http://www.cravincrepes.com.au
Importantly, again, please let me know who is coming and how many for lunch.

Megan and Peter Sneddon for the lunch part of the cruise day. We may stand on the bank and watch the cruise go past.
Should be a good day.
Cheers

Re: Yarra or Maribinong cruise
Do we have an idea how many boats we,ll have ?
Re: Yarra or Maribinong cruise
Looks like three at this stage Ray, judging by the replies.
Anyone wanting to go should let Greg know ASAP so we can ensure our booking is arranged.

This is a good day out, not high adrenaline but very relaxed
Re: Yarra or Maribinong cruise
Hi Guys,
I will be there with Suffrajet, but what with industrial action and separations will be very short on cash. Not sure if I can run to a restaurant lunch? Any idea of cost. Also not sure if I will have any passengers at this stage.
Regards
Nick

Missed this post. Prices are on the link. A picnic lunch is no problem if that's what is easiest.

Weather for Sunday, 17 to 28 partly cloudy, few showers possible, light winds. Sounds like great river cruising conditions.
