Regrettably I am not able to make it to Narrandera this year. I will call the caravan park this morning and let them know that I won’t be using my room for this year so if someone wants to take it for 2012 that’s fine by me. The room has two bed rooms and is configured with a double in one room and I think a double and two singles in the other. I’m not 100% sure on this so it would pay to check. Room looks over the lake which is very handy when spying on who is making all the noise.

That's a bummer Bob. It won't be the same without the Carters

All I can say is you better bring a note, and not make it a habit.

To whom it may concern.... My boy Robert is very busy at work and will not be able to come and play boats with his friends at Narrandera this year. I have told him that if he is good and gets his act together at work he will be allowed to go to Narrandera again in 2013, but only with his wife's runabout Turbo Fire. Because Robert had such a nice time at Goolwa (I saw the video of Rebound - it was going so fast too!) and made some nice new friends, he is allowed to take his skiff to Goolwa next year.

Signed Mrs Carter (Snr)

Hope this note from mum is good enough for you all!

It seems to me the time has come to ramp up the interest level in this year's nationals....I heard on the grapevine that one of our members is going to the trouble of bringing a portable bar this year, complete with an 'all weather' gazebo. Should be where it's all going to be at. No doubt the usual Responsible Serving of Alcohol protocols will be adhered to rigidly :P  I also heard it's going to be dubbed "The Pirates Bar" - I wonder what the dress code will be? :ugeek:
