Greg - not sure if you are up to date with the stuff being posted on the Oz Boat Racers BB but there is a suggestion that the APBA in NSW has done a deal with NSW Martime to prevent the Independent Boating people from getting an Aquatic Licence for their race events. Curious to know if a licence been issued or if there are any difficulties with our licence for Narrandera 2012.

The BIG difference between us and others is that we do not race. We do not hold time trials. We do not compete. Ours is a social event. We just muck around in wooden speed boats.

I'm 100% with you on this one Greg. I just get nervous when I see reports of the APBA in NSW interfering in due process with Martime NSW. We would hope that those at Maritime NSW see there is no link between what we do (in a reesponible and orderly fashion) compared to the farce that is powerboat racing in NSW.
