Ahoy all!

Tomboy put back in the water for a trail run on Saturday prior to Narrandera. Last time she was used was 25 May, and happy to report all good! Saturday was the official opening day for the various boat clubs in Hobart which line up and sail past the Govenor of Tasmania. Very Tassie like day, started out beautiful, sunny and no wind and finished off with torrential rain, apparently we got half of the average October rain fall that afternoon/evening!
I did raise some interest and necessary swerving on the highway home by passers by, as it poured the boat was filling up and the automatic bilge pump engaged spraying various vehicles on the trip home
Luckly no motor bikes about, might of got a bit of road rage because the stream jets out about 3 foot from the boat and on the trailer would almost be at head height on a bike
Just another learning experience, classic.

Regards Chris.

Now that should have warranted two things Chivs: (a) a search for a motorcyclist - preferably on a scooter, and (b) at least one photo of the bilge pump in action, and the subsequent photo being posted on here. Wish I could have seen it!

Ahoy Chris, I was hoping to join you in my boat to cruise the Yarra too, but just as i thought it was looking good, work commitments has made it impossible... Dam. Bad luck Greg and Scott, awesome start to the trip, beautiful Melbourne weather joined by Alan who was an excellent tour guide. Went as far as Herring Island, got in the water by 7.30 am and off again by 12.30 pm. Now at the Hooksters at Yarawonga but unfortunately he is having a bit of trouble getting spark out of the electronic dizzy? To be continued.

Arrived at Narrandera around 5 pm, beautiful balmy arvo/evening, put Tomboy in and all good. The new ramp is a pain for a big boat and with the number of boats up here I am going to leave her in the water for the weekend. Weather overcast at the moment bit of drizzle but not cold! I forgot to bring the lead for my camera so those wanting to see photos will have to wait until I return to sunny Tassie. I also hope to use Tomboy as a platform in the middle of the lake and get some serious video of the boats strutting their stuff!
Thats it for now, cheers, Chris.
