Well it's been a massive weekend here, and today we really put on a show! The weather ended up being quite kind. The pigeon brought up old flame, the bug and Jupiter, and apart from me running out of fuel all boats performed brilliantly. The old Flame went out first against an outboard and the pigeon towelled him up which even shocked me!
I got to do a couple of solo runs on Jupiter and my gps said I got over 70 mph, even though it felt faster than that!
The real crowd pleaser of the day, so we were told later was when the pigeon in The Bug and I in old flame did a spirited demo! It was classic racing, I'd get the bug on the turn buoys and he'd blast past me on the straight, first in best dressed and I would have to say I won the spirited demo, with the pigeon later saying he could of beat me but was just putting on a show! Sorry mate, coulda, shoulda, didn't, too bad mate next time to use your words, don't be a paznzie and have a crack. For you speed freaks the GPS had me as doing a whisker under 64 mph as top speed on that spirited demo, it was a great experience so thanks pigeon again for being so generous with your boats and your hanger on mates assisting us getting in and out of the water. I think there will be a market for kneel down Hydros after this weekend?

We had a great weekend . The boats proved to be reasonable popular and appreciated by most. It was great to have the opportunity to promote our cause.

Old Flame ( originally called Conrod , more to follow on that later) was on song and ran hard. As usual Chivs put on a spectacular display in Jupiter resulting in a standing ovation from the crowd. Chivs finished with a bit of circle work and a splashing dismount , hence his rock star reception from the crowd.
The highlight for most , and we had many come up and say it was the best entertainment they had seen for years was The Bug and Old Flame having a spat . I was in The Bug and Chivs Old Flame , and despite what Chivs says , I did blast past him like he was standing still just to remind him who was boss.
We had plenty of help on the day, thanks guys , and hope to be apart of future events.

Ahoy all!

No action shots, sorry to busy making the action, but what I have is some photos of the display on Saturday for your interest! Starting out with one for Ray! This Cracker Box has a lot of history but has been mistreated and left in the weather, the top deck from a distance looks like some clever paint work but in fact just pealng off to bare ply. You might also get a glimpse of the once thought extinct Hookster! Got him, he was admiring this boat thinking a suitable replacement for A Jay, mmmm when was the next get (burn off) together!

Its really frustrating trying to load stuff on this and then get timed out or whatever right on the vinegar stroke! Trying again, this next one is a neat little outboard butter box, shame about the modern outboard, and yes its for sale!

Next is another from the Pigeons fleet! Possibly the reason the fat pigeon has been on a diet, so he can get into it! Shame about your arse pigeon but you know Im keen to thrash another of your boats!

Next needs no introduction, the Tasmanian Fury! Hopefully Allan has new shelving and Fury no longer required to store matresses, and misc. camping gear etc!
