Narrandera 2012
Re: Narrandera 2012
Chris I think you are using the old motto- what happens on tour, stays on tour. As on who spends lots of time with young people, I can tell you that the new motto is, what happens on tour- stays on facebook...... forever
. In this case substitute the bulletin board for facebook. What I was hoping to see is pictures of the on water action and the assembled fleet.

Great bunch of boats plus a great bnch of people equals a great weekend.
It was a long thankfully uneventful trip home. We arrived safely tonight.

Re: Narrandera 2012
Greg you captured my good side.
Over the weekend i earned the nickname Blinky Bill.
This morning i woke up feeling like a truck had run over me.
I took one look in the mirror my greying hair sticking out in every direction.
I thought to my self yep binky bill.
I walked into suzie and said they called me blinky bill at nerrandera.
She looked up at me and cracked up.
I tend to go a bit commando at nerranderra. I just coulnt be bother preenng myself.
I guess my new nickname is pretty accurate.
Time for a hair cut i think.

Dave,
I think you can thank Katrina for that one...
Awesome weekend once again! Probably my favourite of the year.
Got home no dramas. Thanks to all those who let me drive their boats and to all the organizers.
I've got a few photos and videos to put up but not as many as last year. Just need a couple of days to sort them out.
Greg, you must have plenty of good ones though... I saw you wandering round with an enormous compensatory lens on your camera
Cheers!

And contender for scariest boat of the year...

I have some video of Stuart on his only run before the prop fell off too which I will put up soon.
Cheers!

Back safe and sound. Good trip home, forming part of a four boat/vehicle convoy for some of the way.
Excellent weekend. Thanks for the thanks and thanks for being there to make it the weekend it was.
Lots of pics to sort through now.

Yep, I agree, it was a great weekend. As you know, I'm a bit of an outsider, a "newbie", but was rested extremely well and found the entire group to be a really friendly bunch. I'm also a bit of a "skiffaholic" or maybe even a "skiff tragic" and it was great to see a few of those beasties there. Thanks very much to the guys for the drive of Alfalfa and the ride in Scrubcat, the obvious highlights of the weekend for me.
One of the things I really liked was there were no bloody rules. Like, having to sign your life away before you can sit behind a wheel, can't have a run until someone tells you that you can have two laps now and maybe again later in the day, all boats have to be out of the water by 3PM etc. etc. You've got a great thing going, hope you can keep it that way.
Looking forward to catching up with you all again.
