Hi All,
Linda-K looks great and all going well Fury will be tested in the next few days.
There are now 40+ boats entered.
This includes 3 Hydros, 6 Skiffs/rear seaters and many more ex-racers from different eras.
Remember this is not a racing event but these boats will provide a great spectacle doing demo laps.
It will be a busy day on the Sunday but with 2 tractors and good ramps/pontoon plus some boats remaining at the beach areas or static, it should go well.
There has been a program printed for the event, late entrants (up to a point) will be included in a lift-out if missed in the main print.
We have 80+ for the dinner at the Goolwa Pub.
Thanks Dave

2 weeks to go :D

We did some filming for channel 7's news today, to be aired sometime this week.
We had several boats on hand including the Linda-K, Sting & Fury among others.

Here's the recently completed Fury & Linda-K in front of the nearly completed club refurbishment.

Wow - what great work! That is one beautiful boat. Job well done to Glen and the crew.

Looking forward to Goolwa and having a run in Rebound together with Fury & Scrubcat alongside. Good news this morning is that my new rudder is finished and en route to me from Adelaide. Spent a big chunk of the weekend getting Rebound back into shape - nothing too serious, just the routine stuff that I should have done before we went to Narrandera last year. Fresh oil, filters, plugs, trailer bearings (thanks for the prompt Greg) etc etc. It will be great to see all the other classics (boats & blokes) and hearing how fast they used to be in the good old days!

Great to see a couple more skiffs back in the water. Congratulations guys, they both look great. Hope the event goes well for you.

The Dig loves those red race overalls, you should get a pair Bob! I really hope the weather is kind, and I assume every one will be happy in the salt water?

Its fresh water Chivs.
Goolwa is on the southern lakes of the Murray River.
The Barrage that seperates the salt from the fresh water is visable from the club about a mile away.
