just spotted this on our favourite web site apart from the cawpba BB!!!!

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1950s-Wooden ... 45fc787d43

Starting price really good $100.00
Hull looks to be fairly good from the photos.
Id suggest that it had a 6 cylinder of some kind fitted as there is only one hole in transom for exhaust.
only looks like basic gauges fitted from the looks of the holes in dash.

Still it looks like a really good starting point better from where I started but we are getting there oh so ever slowly
cheers
peter

Any ideas on the maker? Know someone who is interested in a project like this.

Just been and looked at this, think Im the winning bidder still :D Been glassed over but might clean up, thinking of hopefully replacing the dead hull out the back to bring the project back on track

OK fess up
Auction for this boat has been cancelled so who was the lucky purchaser.

It looks to be ok and it must have been alright or it wouldnn't have ended so soon

I'll fess up it was me, sandy needed it out of the way quick so I made a decent
Offer that he accepted, usually don't like to have people pull auctions off eBay, but
I got the impression If I didn't somebody else would have, due to the amount of interest
That he said he had and wanting it out of the way

Just dragged it home and am extremely happy, found all the steering and cav plate hidden inside. Layer of glass peels off easy and the timber underneath seems in really good condition, hopefully it is as good as it appears to be, very nice inside, no cracks or splits.

Now to finish the cars so I can play....Meanwhile the trailer is good to replace the old one on splinter for summer

Congrats on the new acquisition.

Thought it may have been member from here as it was local and you seemed fairly keen from the start. At least it won't end up on a tip somewhere.
