Anyone would think we were married, always getting the blame when things get mucked up.!! Hope she doesn't think its going in my shed!!!
Re: clinker in tarneit
Would look awesome pink! Nice looking boat, surely there is room in your shed Ray, and choice of ford or chev power on ebay, a sign from the gods of ski!

Re: clinker in tarneit
Go Ray - this is a good deal!
Re: clinker in tarneit
Hi Guys, went and had a look at this tonight. It's a ply clinker that has been roughly glassed over, no idea of the builder but it seems to be in reasonable nick. It does have a soft spot in the plank next to where the log gland goes through the keel about the size of a 50cent piece. Engine mounts are for a y block (which I just happen to have), all the bolt on bits are there but no seats, gauges or trim. No cracked ribs that I could see.

Re: clinker in tarneit
So are you still going to bid and do the boat resto again?
Re: clinker in tarneit
Not so sure now, if i'm buying again i'd kinda like something I don't have to restore from the ground up. Will still put a bid in but not as high as I would have. I guess this would be better for someone that doesn't mind doing a bit, as it is I have 3 boats that all need some degree of work.
Re: clinker in tarneit
It would be a strong hull,if the pictures are not tricking me it has stringers running along all the plank overlaps and the ribs roved to them as as well as the plank this is a carvel hull building style where the stringers or battons are used to join the planks on then the ribs run over the battons
