Hi All, my name is Andrew and I am a relatively new member to the club. I am after some help in identifying my boat - purchased in Wollongong around 11 years ago and told it was a Lewis Hull, I had Ron Hodge have a look at it a couple of years ago and he said it wasnt. Any ideas anyone? Does anyone remember it from anywhere? Its called "Ive got a Woody".

It was left in the weather exposed for a while unfortunately and as you can see needs a great deal of work. There is some dry rot in the top left corner of the transom and top left plank, some ribs need replacing, some planks have some good cracks in them and the deck will have to be re-done.

I am going to rebuild the trailer over the next month or 2 and get it registered so I can at least transport it around and have a 2 year plan for all works to be complete. Motor coming out today (original 292) and will be replaced with a fresh one in the same configuration later down the track.

Any advice on where to start appreciated, cheers, Andrew

Hi Andrew,
From the squared off section at the front keel where it comes up to the bow, I'd say you have an Everingham.
Is it approximately 15ft from transom to bow?
Many Clinkers are called Lewis because people know the name, however there were many boat builders building clinker
style. I think there is a list somewhere on the board.

Cheers Dave,

15.5 foot from memory - so probably. From looking at photos of everinghams from the period I think I see a lot of similarities.

I will try and find the list, thanks.

Hey there Andrew, I`m 99% sure you own an Everingham as it looks the spitting image of my boat Apache. The crossmembers are the same just everything about it. So there you go now you know.
Happy Everinghaming. Ed
Are you located in the Gong ?
