16 boats turned up. What a fantastic turnout!

We''re off to Bundalong for our big cruise in the morning. Should be a great run.

Weather not to bright, like some of the crews, but after such a magnificent award winning night should be a great cruise today.

Home safe and sound, absoloutly brilliant event! We would like to thank John and Narelle for being great hosts, as well as a big thank you to everyone who took me for rides or let me drive there pride and joys. Apart from having my trailer part company with the tow car on the way up and very nearly sinking the boat at the ramp (memo to self.. keep the bloody bungs in the boat not the car) the "Worry" has again had an outbreak of reliabillity. Great to read the NSW boys had a fantastic turnout as well, need to see Pics! Vintage boating is alive and well! Ray & Carol

Thanks for a great weekend everyone. Again, special thanks to Jon and Narrelle (and the kids) for opening their house up so freely to us.

Sunday's cruise was a bit damp, but we did it all the same. Amazing - high 30's all week and barely 17 when we set off!

Hope there are plenty of pics out there because I only took a couple. I shudder to think about the ones I know were taken on Friday and Saturday nights.

Here's a pic when we arrived at Bundalong.

Greg

Got to agree with Dave's comment above about the amount of classic boats on the water on one day. Awesome if we had them all in one place.

Well, I wrote an extensive story about our weekend yesterday and was about to hit "submit" when the network session timed out on me and I lost the lot. So I am now going to write it up again and send it to Greg for inclusion in the next newsletter instead.

However, I would like to extend my thanks, and congratulations, to everyone who attended with their boats and families. WOW!! what an incredible turnout and great weekend! My special thanks to those boaties who made the extra effort to include the kids - I recall seeing Righty-O towing a gaggle of pre-teen screaming girls around on a biscuit at one stage!!!!

From my point of view it's pretty humbling to see all those boats and people together at what started out as being a fairly ad-hoc wet-together. Maybe that's why it's so appealing - no hard and fast plans, no real itinerary. Hopefully it stays that way! (And I would like to add a "good onya" to the NSW crew for their weekend, bloody brilliant!!!)

Once again, thankyou very much to all, and see you next year. Cheers, from Jon and Narelle :P
