I grew up watching these boats as well and i don't think i'm that old. Does anyone remember a boat called HELLO DEAR, I remember being towed by it in a little dingy after we got stuck up the creek at snowdons beach and the guy (a mate of my old mans) decided to teach us a lesson and opened it up with us on the tow rope. Never been so frightened in my life. Dingy's arn't meant to go that fast !!!! Would love to know if that boat was still around.... has a special place in my life!

again... whilst searching for info on trying to confirm a builder and some history of my ol girl, Sunbeam11.....I come across this site.....seems to mostly be about Tasmanian Hydro scene with some great old photos and narrative. well worth a look...
and of course, it wouldd'nt be a good narrative without a Dave P getting a mention.......something about owning a boat called Miss Boran 2 (just after the Miss Bud photo) fill us in Dave????? cheers
