l mentioned to Darren that I was getting a bit restless and needed a project .He suggested I drive to Colac,it’s only down the road and it is a Simpkin ,so here l go again I made a deal but they had to deliver it I was not towing a unregistered trailer with 30year old tyres and I wheel bearings . Came home from town two day’s later to find it parked in the driveway with my darling wife looking at it ,you can guess the rest.l will put some photos up as i go.

Looking forward to this one!
Looks very similar to Steinway in the bones.
What is the length Ken?

Darren it is 17feet and seems to be built stronger than Nightmare with thicker ply planks and larger ribs which are all in good shape ,I have had to replace the bearers as they were cracked towards the front . The top planks right at the front were rotten and I have replaced a section and had to put a section into the transom .I think it had the nose exposed when stored .The last reg label on the trailer was 1978 and the boat 1995 ,it's keeping me busy but I was dragged away with my caravan for a week and it has put me behind schedule
