I now have some shed space, I have turned the old Monaro in to a Museum piece and is now at the Shepparton motor museum for 3 months. At least they will keep it clean!!!!
I now have space to build my son's skiff engine as it has now been machined , so we will get it back in the water this season.
Some other projects may all so benefit as well.

How 'bout that. I have a HK 327 that I've had for 37 years. Even had a full head of hair when I bought it. It's Picardy Red with Black trim. Went mad in the late eighties and chromed a lot of things. Now having the chrome taken off and going back to zinc.

Well check out you lucky bragging pair eh???!!! Lucky buggers....

Bob if you are going all original on the car, you should do yourself a favour and pop into a Spotlight store and retro-fit some hair on your head. Great range of mullets on offer, they possibly flopped a mullet mold off the 1973 version of you????? 8-) Jon.

Hey Hooks,
Thanks for the tip ….. went to Spotlite but they were all out of mullets, said some bloke in Victoria has been buying them all up.

And here's my Monaro tow car. Would have been around '78 I think. Pic was probably taken on a Kodak Instamatic, which was all the rage back then.

Hi Dave,
The skiff was an Everingham, ply planks, about 15" from memory. Very similar to the Flea, but in skiff format. It ran a 144 CI Falcon motor with Hilborn injection, ran on methanol etc. If you're familiar with Renegade, it was much the same except Renegade is a Lewis. They raced against each other on many occasion, but that was before I owned it.

Ross, apologies for hijacking your Shed Thread.
