Well. After being on nursing home duties yesterday, I had big plans for today, Brett and Matt were due around lunchtime to pick up Brett's project. All went well until they were about to leave and discovered one of the trailer tyres delaminating. We can just put the spare on, that'll get you to Shep!! Oops no spare. After a quick hunt around my son's place we produced a spare and off they went to Shep. Ok all goo. Dragged Wooden Worry into the shed to see what sort of state it was in after sitting untouched in the backyard since the Maribinong cruse, both carbies siezed and everything starting to corrode.A bit of crc and away she went, just like it was in use yesterday!!! Then turned my attention to Pagan, my first real opportunity to have a look and see what i've bought. Start it up with the garden hose supplying cooling water only to find it running on 3 cylinders, checked leads and plugs but they seemed ok, took the rocker cover off to find no gap in the rockers on number 2 cylinder. reset the gap still no go. On closer inspection found the throttle cable for number 2 carbie badly adjusted...better but not quite right!!! On much closer inspection found 2 carbies loose...bloody hell how was it running at all. Tightened the carbs and suddenly.... how sweet it sounds! Refitted the seat, repaired the trailer plug (his dog ate it) and made some cords up to secure the corks (plugs) so i dont lose them. The only thing stopping me from giving it a run is the weld has cracked on number one exhaust and i dont want to break it off. Oh almost forgot ! have a new brass 2 blade racing prop for Hot Stuff, so with a minor throttle reposition so i get full throttle and the prop it hopefully should get up and boogie. cheers Ray
