Winner of the Australian Motor Boat Championship Griffith Cup in 1924 and 1925 and Vice-Commodore of the Motor Yacht Club of Queensland 1923.

Just read the whole thng. I really love the early stuff.
Im still cut up that i didnt get nautilus. It would be running by now.
I know of a couple of other real early survivors but they arent ontainable.
That meteor boat and one not dscribed cettien would be two boats id want to find.

Along the same track but a different bloke,Doing a bit of research on Clement Lewis, Boat builder/racer found some news paper clips about the tragerty how the accident happened,but what i did not know was that Ron Hodge boat builder for the lewis Bro,s was a passenger in clems boat on the day and was seriously injured himself but as we know he recovered he was 19 at the time.ps Could not copy the news clips.

To add to your article on Clem Lewis he was an oyster farmer and father of Richie and Frank Lewis . I was passenger in the boat and seriously injored and spent a lot of time in hospital. There were two articles in the papers about the accident, i have copies of these. I started at Lewis Bros in 1946 and left in 1968. I am doing a new book on Lewis Bros and will be available soon .Ron Hodge. ( Lewisinfo).
