Thanks for posting that Thommo, brings back some memories. I had a drive of Mandy once, (and I'm assuming there has only been one skiff called Mandy,) at Kanahooka (Near Wollongong) when it was a race circuit. It was quite a few years after Mandy's 'heyday" and was in a more sedate state of tune. I made some enquiries about Mandy only a few months ago. It's thought that she's been chopped up and burnt.

Cool article. I wonder if it actually went over a hundred.
Don preece also ran the ex spencer miller wickens hydro hydrophobia ,kangaroo kid ,assasin then pitstop.
With a blown hemi don did over 150mph.
I would love to know where that hydro is. Been searching for it since i started collecting boats.

Looking at the article, it looks a lot like the one sitting in my shed in a state of disrepair. would love to see more pics of the original. There's no way i could be that lucky.

The stuff of boyhood dreams! Would this be Australia's most famous skiff?

Looks like you now know what your boat is. Well done you now have some history with it.
Did it do any good racing.
