Classic Australian Wooden Power Boat Association

Have heard today that the goverment is going to start vin numbers on new boat hull and on change of ownership old ones
will need to have a number place on hull like NSW. starting june 30th
All so pf1 made before early 90s are now ilegal to use, Has any body heard of this ?
