That's it for the Tasy by myself getting wet together alone and stuff, mind you no one else would want to do it in that weather, this is where size does matter!

On a side note, if any member is comming to Tassie for the wooden boat festival private message me for contact details and it will be my pleasure to give you the A grade tour of the Derwent, regardless of weather!
And as Allan likes to remind everyone, bring your Beanie, gloves, polar fleece and heavy rain coat, and the 30 plus protection as well.

This may be of interest to my South Aussie friends, in particular Dave D?
I received an e aim from Ian Hage who lives in Point Turton area and writes he can remember Torea well. It was owned by Graham Murdock and then sold to another local - Ernie Koop (unfortunately deceased), Graham still lives in Warooka. I replied Ian and told him about Goolwa, do you know these people Dave?

Hello Chris, yes I know all those people. Ernie is the person who I remember owning Torea and skiing out of Pt Turton. How did Ian come to emailing you about Torea? I'll be heading over to Warooka after New year and I'll see if I can catch up with them.

Hi Dave,
I did get your PM, but it is you who I am thanking!
Greg has updated the readers boat section and added my e mail to the Torea story and Ian got it that way. Ian gave me Grahams phone number as well.
Torea is progressing and hope to post some pics after the weekend, it should if all goes to plan be on the trailer and I can drag her out to see the light of day and all my paint runs etc!
Hope you and family have a great Christmas and look forward to catching up in the new year.

I reckon the photos of Torea in the "readers boats" section from its heyday, are from Graham originally. Graham should know me as I went to school with his son Warren.
Looking forward to seeing Torea in the water again at Goolwa.
