A hydro as a war machine is not as silly as it sounds.
The very first three point hydroplane was designed to fill an order by the chinese govt in the mid thirties.
The request was for a fast suicide boat that could carry enough explosives to sink a ship.
Several of these boats were made by ventnor.
Only one remains. Its called juno and eventually it became a very successful race boat powered by a 625 cubic inch packard gold cup engine.
