CHERYL-D

Cheryl-D is a circa early 1950's Lewis skiff
The 15' hull was owned, developed and raced by owner Bill Dudley during the 1960's and into the 1970's
The boat raced in the 266 ci side-valve class, running a highly developed Ford
The highlight of the boat's racing career was winning the Australian Side Valve Championship in 1974
The boat remained in Bill's shed for decades until tracked down by Paul Siddall
Paul purchased the boat in 2004, taking the boat from Victoria to South Australia

After a long time sitting idle, the intricacies of the engine were worked out and the engine came to life again. The boat was a regular at CAWPBA events and shows and  delighted all who rode in her or just sat on the bank listening to the superb sound from that old flat head
